A writing retreat, a lot of time, a week of...?

Paid updates ahoy

I’m currently sitting in my living room, henna on my hair, dealing with some of the last of the work I need to do before we leave tomorrow.

Eiryss is two days into her radioactive Iodine treatment (more on that in the public newsletter), and we’re slowly planning and packing for his training, my writing retreat. I’m torn. I could stay home and clean…but I know both of us won’t sleep, will be disrupted, and I’ll be honest, I kinda feel a bit… I don’t know how I feel right now. Which isn’t a great place to be in, mentally. So, I go with the safety. And the adventure.

I guess one of the biggies since the kids moved out is there’s just the cats. In this case, and this week, cat. My Haley-Boo, who has been missing Lexx like crazy too, so she’ll be delighted about having Lexx and Luke all to herself. But it means that it’s not quite so complex when I want to trail along behind him, and quite honestly, thought I have so much to get done here, I’d like to spend time with Tempus, and see friends I don’t get to see regularly, because his training is, this week, at LudoSport. And I’m going to spend the week getting some work done that kinda gets put off because I’ve got other stuff to do and think about at the house. So, that hopefully means you’ll all be getting updates with lots of goodies, snippets, notes from my editor, and maybe a little bit of a look ahead.

So…that’s what’s going to happen next week. And like I said, we leave Friday, so updates will probably start on saturday or Sunday.
